The Institute for Intercultural Intelligence Training (IFDII)
Intercultural intelligence has become a basic need in our lives.
In the last decades, professional relations are increasingly pluricultural. With technology bringing together to the same conference calls colleagues from all over the world, the "other" may be a next-door neighbor – or an associate from Singapore. Either way, we are expected to communicate seamlessly, smoothly and accurately. In professional settings this means not only understanding others but also making sure that we are being understood; and in some areas, such as defense or security, this may become a vital issue. We may speak the same language, and yet not be immersed in the same cultures. This means that sometimes a kind gesture can be misunderstood or misinterpreted, as the other's experience differs from our own. To be able to communicate in an efficient way, we must develop and foster our intercultural intelligence.
The Institute's training programs enable participants to
Understand how others think;
Understand how we think;
Communicate better – be as clear or as vague as necessary;
Hear and understand what is being said between the lines;
Avoid errors, blunders, small mishaps, major crises…
For best results and in order to achieve the most efficient training possible, participants are followed and supervised individually; IFDII strongly believes in the importance of personal rapport. IFDII makes sure that you make the most of this special time dedicated to enhancing your skills. The number of participants in each workshop is limited, to allow a good group dynamic and individualized attention.
