How to communicate, anticipate, and lead exceptional individuals
“In leadership, the highest cost is often the potential you never see. This program – one of my most requested – equips you to diagnose friction, anticipate talent needs, and transform unspoken dynamics into your most powerful lever for performance.” – Dr. Claudine Korall
Unseen friction within a team is a silent tax on performance, innovation, and retention. Elite leaders recognize that what remains unspoken—a shift in tone, a withheld comment, a change in engagement—often reveals the most critical insights into morale, motivation, and unrealized potential.
This course is designed for those leaders. It provides a rigorous framework to move beyond standard protocols and surface-level feedback, giving you the perceptual tools to diagnose underlying issues, preempt challenges, and strategically cultivate the talents of exceptional, often atypical, individuals.

Course overview
This ten-hour programme is divided into three integrated modules, combining theory and applied practice. Each section draws upon intercultural studies, cognitive psychology, and advanced communication strategies.
1. The fundamentals of communication
You will study how messages are constructed, received, and interpreted, both overtly and covertly. The focus is not merely on what is said, but on how it is said, to whom, and with what effect.
Emphasis is placed on subtle dynamics: tone, implied meaning, conversational structure, and the psychological distance between speaker and listener. Participants will work with methods drawn from The Guide to Overt and Covert Speech (Dr Korall), applying these to real-world workplace scenarios.
2. Cognition, cultural frameworks, and human interpretation
This module introduces foundational insights into cognitive development and early mental patterning. You will explore how individual worldviews form, how cultural logic systems operate, and how these shape perception and response in professional environments.
The aim is not to generalise, but to sharpen your interpretive skill: to recognise difference early and to respond with precision.
3. Detecting subtle indicators within teams
The third section focuses on perceptual acuity in group settings. You will learn to identify and interpret understated expressions of discontent, resistance, or overload, particularly among high-functioning or atypical team members.
The session concludes with an introduction to sustainable workplace strategies, including the development of long-cycle support systems, psychosocial considerations, and methods for improving both safety and wellbeing in professional environments.
